It’s Hamburger Cookie Season!!
I was first introduced to Hamburger Cookies by a good friend, Ms. Anna G.
I’m not a huge sweets fan, but working in an office, I feel like I need to support my coworkers (read: their daughters) and buy atleast one box. It goes to a good cause, right? So, whenever those girl scout order forms start surfacing, I start gathering my supplies for Hamburger Cookies!
They are super easy to make and too fun! All you need is shredded coconut for the lettuce, cream cheese frosting (for the ketchup/mustard), food coloring, sesame seeds, Nilla Wafers, and Thin Mints! You can find a basic recipe here.
TIP: Lightly brush the top of a Nilla Wafer with Egg Whites and then sprinkle on the sesame seeds. Also, go a little light on the frosting (aka ketchup/mustard) so the cookies aren’t too sweet. And lastly, pop them in the freezer to preserve freshness for a couple of weeks.

Love (from www.merriam-webster.com): (1) strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties. (2) attaction based on sexual desire, affection and tenderness felt by lovers. (3) affection based on admiration, benevolence or common interests.
I agree with this definition to an extent, I personally feel ‘love’ is so much deeper than words can actually describe. This by far is probably one of the most complex questions of the world and I honestly can’t think I’ve read one single article, definition, explaination or whatever it may be that attempts to describe love and thought to myself yes, that is love.
God is love. Love is not just a word. Love is more than a feeling. Love in a relationship form begins from a friendship. Love is patient. Love conquers all things. Love is an experience. Love is created. Love protects. Love is, indescribable.
I remember in high school during my english class, my teacher once said “If someone tells you they love ‘ya’, they don’t mean it. If they tell you they love ‘you’, they do. For some reason, that’s stuck in my head and looking back through the different friendships and relationships I’ve experienced, I haven’t always found that to be true but I have found that it holds true as far as love levels (if there were such). There is no love more true than the love of a parent to her child. With that said, the love shared between a mother and child is on a different level than a love felt between two best friends or even in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. I think the true feelings are the ones that you feel when you’re apart. That to me, really describes your feelings more than a simple four letter word.
